Skin cancer checks

Our medical team also provides top-quality skin cancer services at our centre, including full-body skin cancer examinations, spot checks, skin cancer diagnosis and on-site treatment.

A full-body skin examination is a comprehensive assessment of your skin from head to toe. Our specially qualified doctors will thoroughly inspect your skin and examine any moles, freckles or bumps. We use a tool called a dermatoscope – a special skin microscope – to see beneath the skin and identify symptoms of skin cancer that are invisible to the naked eye.

The procedure is completely painless. If the doctor finds a suspicious spot, they might take a photograph to be recorded and analysed, and they might take a sample of the skin for biopsy.

It is important to get your skin checked by a qualified medical professional at least once a year. Routine self-examinations are also a good way to monitor your own skin in between skin checks, but should not be relied upon to catch every suspicious spot.

How it works?

A full-body skin examination is a comprehensive assessment of your skin from head to toe using a tool called a dermatoscope – a special skin microscope – to see beneath the skin and identify symptoms of skin cancer. In order to check your whole skin surface, you will need to undress to your underwear; modesty gowns are available for your comfort. If a suspicious spot is found, we might take a sample of skin for biopsy. Skin checks take up to 30 minutes, and regular skin checks help to detect skin cancer early when it’s easiest to treat, so we can help maintain your skin health for longer.
