Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy | Starts at $750

Ideal treatment for:

  • Tired and dry skin
  • Uneven skin tone
  • Wrinkles and lines on the neck and décolletage
  • Lax skin
  • Dark circles around the eyes
  • Hair thinning
  • Hand rejuvenation

Platelet-Rich Plasma therapy (or PRP) is a ground-breaking non-surgical procedure for facial and skin rejuvenation. The treatment uses your own blood platelets to stimulate new cell growth, improve your skin texture and restore lost facial volume through the growth factors that blood platelets are known to contain.  A small sample of your blood is processed in a specialised system designed to extract the plasma which is then injected into the areas that require tissue remodelling and rejuvenation.

How it works?

PRP therapy is also known as the ‘vampire facial’, because it involves using a small sample of your own blood! Your blood is processed in a special system designed to extract the plasma which has amazing natural healing properties. This plasma is then injected into areas requiring tissue remodelling and rejuvenation. It is also great to stop and prevent hair thinning. As the injectables are made up of your own blood, there is little risk of rejection or allergic reaction. You are using your natural resources to repair and improve skin tissue on your face, neck, décolletage, hands or hair. The processing takes 20 minutes and the procedure takes around 25 minutes.

iconFrequently Asked Questions

What are the side effects?

As the injectables are made up of your own blood, there is little risk of rejection or allergic reaction. You are using your natural resources to repair and improve skin tissue.

You may feel a tingling sensation after the procedure. Your skin texture will respond as new tissue cells grow.

When will I see results and how long will results last?

Visible results may take three to six weeks and continue for up to six months. The result of the treatment will depend on overall health, age, dietary variations, and other health factors including your unique skin type. It is not uncommon to have bruising at injection sites for up to a week following treatment.

What should I be aware of before receiving treatment?

When assessing whether you are suitable for PRP therapy, our Aesthetic Doctors will consider a variety of factors, including:

  • your health and lifestyle
  • platelet dysfunction syndrome
  • critical thrombocytopenia
  • hypofibrinogenemia
  • haemodynamic instability
  • sepsis
  • acute and chronic infections
  • chronic live pathology
  • anticoagulation therapy (warfarin)
  • skin disease or cancer
  • several metabolic and systemic disorders

How can I optimise my results?

For best results, combine PRP therapy with skin needling and LED light therapy. Skin needling helps to spread the plasma under the skin as the needles make hundreds of tiny perforations in the skin’s outer layer, further improving the skin surface. LED light therapy helps to soothe the skin, minimising bruising and reducing redness.

Who will perform my treatment?

This treatment is strictly delivered only by Aesthetic Doctors, not by nurses or cosmetic injectors. Our doctors hold university qualifications specifically focused in aesthetic medicine and are very experienced in delivering these treatments, with patient safety and expectations as their top priority. As your treatment is delivered in a medical facility, we can address any unlikely complications that may arise.
